Dr. Eric Fishon
IDA Ambassador Β· Dr. Disruptor Network
This graduation weekend app was built with one purpose in mind β€” no one should be left behind on one of the most important days of their life. Every detail, every map, every accessible link, every tap-to-call phone number exists because access to information IS accessibility.
Dr. Eric Fishon is graduating from the UF College of Education with an Education Specialist degree and a Graduate Certificate in Disabilities and Society β€” and he's not done yet. His mission is to leave a legacy on campus that continues to help people with disabilities long after he walks across that stage.
As an IDA Ambassador championing invisible disabilities awareness through the Dr. Disruptor Network, Dr. Fishon believes the world works better when everyone can participate in it fully. This app is a living example of that belief.

"When we design for the margins, we improve life at the center."
The Curb Cut Effect is a powerful idea: when cities added curb cuts to sidewalks for wheelchair users, it turned out everyone benefited β€” parents with strollers, delivery workers, cyclists, travelers with luggage. Designing for people with disabilities makes the world better for all of us.
Universal Design is the principle that environments, products, and technology should be usable by all people β€” regardless of age, ability, or circumstance β€” without the need for adaptation or specialized design.
This app is built on that principle.
Every feature here β€” accessible maps, ADA parking details, clickable phone numbers, mobility seating info, shuttle schedules β€” was built so that no one gets left behind on one of the most important days of their life. When we make graduation accessible, we make the celebration whole.
